What to bring on test day |

Printed copy of your Admit Card with attested photo attached

Original & photocopy of your Permanent or Provisional SMC/MCI registration* – photocopy to be retained by the test centre.
* If you do not bring your original SMC/MCI registration, or if it does not contain your photo, or if it’s expired, then an additional photo ID will need to be presented. Approved list of photo IDs include:
PAN Card
Driving Licence
Voter ID
Passport
Aadhar Card

* Candidates outside of India who do not have SMC/MCI registration should bring your original screening test pass certificate issued on the NBE letterhead (sample below). |

The name on your photo identification must match your name as shown on your Admit Card. If your name has been changed due to events such as marriage, you must show the relevant document mentioned below at the time of the test.

When to arrive |
You should arrive at your test centre at least one hour before your scheduled appointment. This will allow time for security checks, identity verification and checking in. Please note that the test centre gates will close 30 minutes prior to the test start time, and no entry will be permitted after that. Check your Admit Card for actual timing.

What to expect |
No backpacks or large items will be allowed so please do not bring these to the test centre.
Carry your Admit Card and identification documents with you at all time. Only these will be allowed into the testing lab.
All your personal belongings including mobile phone and watch will be stored in a clear bag and kept outside the testing lab by the security guard.
You will go through ID verification and security checks including frisking before getting checked in.
Your check-in procedure will include your digital image and fingerprint capture.
Restroom breaks will not be allowed until your check-in procedure is complete.
You will be escorted to you assigned workstation and signed in by a Test Centre Administrator.
You may have to wait for some time until all candidates are checked and signed in.
Pencils, an eraser and scratch paper will be distributed prior to the start of your test.
A 15-minute tutorial will be available prior to the start of your test to familiarise you with the navigation and functionality of the test.
You will be expected to accept a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before beginning your test.
The test will be conducted in one section, with 180 multiple-choice questions, each with four (4) options and only one (1) correct response.
The duration of the test (excluding the tutorial) will be three (3) hours.
There will be an on-screen timer which will count down from three (3) hours.
There will be no scheduled breaks during the test, however you will be allowed to go to the restroom by raising your hand to inform the Test Centre Administrator. Note that the on-screen timer will continue running during your restroom break.
In the event of any technical issues or power outage, rest assured your responses will be saved and your test will resume exactly where you left off, with no loss of actual test time.
There will be surveillance cameras that record both audio and video during your test.
Any suspicious or disruptive behaviour could lead to your test being invalidated by NBE and further penal action may be undertaken.
You will not be allowed to leave the testing lab until the allocated testing time is up.
A pop-up window will appear to alert you before the test ends.
All scratch paper will be collected before you leave the testing lab.
